Manager, Early Detection and Diagnosis

About the Role of the Manager, Early Detection and Diagnosis
This is an exceptional opportunity for a collaborative individual dedicated to achieving ambitious goals in brain health equity, including helping to establish an Alzheimer’s early detection framework for the organization. As the Early Detection and Diagnosis Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving the success of the organization's early detection programs, including the BrainGuide® platform. You will oversee program development, manage program budgets, and monitor program effectiveness. You will work closely with a team to ensure the smooth execution of programs, while fostering positive relationships with stakeholders. Your strong leadership and strategic thinking skills will be crucial for identifying opportunities for growth and improvement in advancing the organization’s mission. This role reports to the Vice President, Early Detection and Diagnosis.

Key Responsibilities: BrainGuide
⦁    Lead the evolution of BrainGuide (MyBrainGuide.org) by defining product features and business requirements that enhance customer experience.
⦁    Serve as the primary contact for technical teams throughout the lifecycle of the BrainGuide platform. Work closely with product, business development, design, and other internal colleagues to ensure cohesive messaging.
⦁    Provide general project management for various workstreams including coordination with stakeholders (vendors, funders, communications, etc.) and stakeholder meetings.
•    Analyze data (program, financial, research, etc.) to recommend program and process improvements and monitor impact. Prepare data and reports for various stakeholders.
⦁    Conduct market analysis and gather customer feedback to inform product development and marketing strategies. Understand customer pain points, preferences, and industry trends to drive product innovation. Develop compelling product positioning, value propositions, and key messaging that resonate with target audiences and differentiate BrainGuide from competitors.
⦁    Plan and manage product launches, including coordinating with marketing/PR team on collateral, organizing events, and driving awareness through various channels. Assist with monitoring and analyzing the effectiveness of campaigns and product launches, optimizing strategies based on data and feedback. Engage current customers to gather testimonials, case studies, and success stories to highlight in outreach efforts.
⦁    Coordinate a variety of content, including blog posts, case studies, webinars, product videos, and social media materials, to communicate product features and benefits effectively.
⦁    Maintain website support such as monthly audits for broken links, necessary content changes, and email support during business hours. Support protocol including form letters, escalation protocol, traffic report and training.


Key Responsibilities: Beyond BrainGuide
⦁    Execute program operations and tasks as necessary for the business unit including research, writing reports, creating presentations, and/or engaging multicultural audiences, developing partnerships, and designing and executing engaging programs and events. 
⦁    Contribute to tracking and reporting of strategic plan strategies and action plans. Assist in developing and implementing new solutions.
⦁    Contribute to establishment of an early detection framework for the organization.
⦁    Support the VP, Early Detection and Diagnosis on other work as required. 
⦁    Act as a representative for UsAgainstAlzheimer’s in various program-related meetings, conferences, and public forums, as necessary.


Qualifications:
⦁    Education: Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 5-7 years of experience in program and/or product management.
⦁    Knowledge: Understanding of public health issues preferred, particularly aging and chronic diseases like Alzheimer’s.
⦁    Project Management: Proven ability to manage projects effectively under tight deadlines.
⦁    Outreach Experience: Familiarity with marketing to diverse populations, especially older adults and Hispanic/Black communities.


Skills and Experience:
⦁    Digital Expertise: Over 5 years in a related field with a focus on program and/or product management.
⦁    User-Centric Design: Experience in applying customer insights to digital product development.
⦁    Technical Specifications: Ability to translate high-level requirements into detailed specifications and user stories.
⦁    Analytical Skills: Strong decision-making and problem-solving capabilities.
⦁    Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; adept with software applications and presentation tools. 
⦁    Bilingual: Spanish proficiency preferred.
⦁    Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, changing environment.
⦁    Team orientation: Commitment to collaboration and teamwork.

Location and Compensation: This is a full-time, salaried position based in the Washington, D.C., area. The UsAgainstAlzheimer's team currently works remotely, but this position requires availability for in-person meetings in Washington, D.C., and travel 10-15 percent of the time. The starting annual salary for this position is within the range of $95,000 to $125,000. Where a successful candidate’s actual pay will fall within this range will be based on a variety of factors, including the candidate's location, qualifications, specific skills, and experience. In addition, the benefits package includes 15 vacation days the first year (with subsequent increases), 12 paid holidays, sick leave, a 401k retirement plan with 5% employer match, and a choice of medical plans covering all or a portion of health, vision, and dental insurance.
