The Alzheimer’s Disease Patient- and Caregiver- Powered Network (AD-PCPRN) is a research collaboration, created in 2015 of Mayo Clinic, University of Florida, UsAgainstAlzheimer’s and the Brain Health Registry at University of California, San Francisco. It seeks to accelerate the development of treatments for Alzheimer’s by engaging individuals at risk for the disease and their caregivers, increasing outreach to populations under-represented in trials, screening and enrolling individuals in appropriate studies, and conducting patient-centered dementia research. It is partially funded through a Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI) Award for development of the National Patient-Centered Clinical Research Network (PCORnet).
