THE SECOND ANNUAL ALZHEIMER’S DISPARITIES SYMPOSIUM: DIVERSIFYING THE RACE FOR A CURE & CARE

The Diversifying the Race for a Cure Symposium increased awareness, understanding and action related to Alzheimer’s disease among communities of color. This full-day program brought together disparities-focused health, policy and minority community stakeholders with caregivers, researchers and industry leaders to address the growing impact of Alzheimer’s on communities of color. Attendees contributed to the development of brain health promotion strategies, catalyzed research collaborations, and advanced patient and community-centered solutions to our nation’s Alzheimer’s crisis.

 

 

NATIONAL ALZHEIMER’S SUMMIT

Alzheimer’s touches every community, and the Summit is a chance to illuminate the disease’s widespread and disparate impact—and work together with urgency toward a cure. This year’s convening attracted many individuals living with Alzheimer’s and related dementias, care partners, activists and the top minds in Alzheimer’s and dementia research, policy, politics and industry.
